Event Overview

The doors (and bar!) will open several hours prior to the big race. Arrive in time for live music, food, and fun before the 150th Run for the Roses. Prepare to enjoy live music from the city’s finest, promenade in our parade of hats, make a bet and cheer on your favorite horse before hitting the dance floor once again. The bar becomes a cash bar at 8:00PM, but you should certainly stick around for more revelry.

Like previous years you can count on Maker’s Mark mint juleps handmade by Greenwood Park’s finest and served in an official 2024 Derby glasses; a hat contest with prizes, so BRING YOUR BEST LOOKS; and live televised coverage of the 150th Run for the Roses.

Venue

We are pleased to return to Greenwood Park. We’ll convert this 13,000 square foot South Slope beer garden into a bourbon garden! Dedicated corn toss area is on, and we’ll still have room for a stage, dance floor, hat-making station, and areas that can only be defined once mint juleps are in our system.

What does my ticket get me?

Can children attend?
We are now offering a limited number of tickets for parents that would like to add their children to the celebration. Brooklyn Derby is a mainly-adult event so parents are expected to keep close tabs on their children at all times.

Can I buy tickets from other vendors or sites besides Brooklyn Derby?
No. If you did not buy your ticket from Brooklyn Derby's Eventbrite page your ticket is counterfeit! Tickets are transferable, just contact us and we'll switch your name for theirs.

What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be available until 4:00pm, April 27, 2024 (7 days prior to event start). This policy helps us confidently purchase all supplies for our expected number of guests.

Do you provide group discounts?
We do not, but if you have a large enough group, perhaps you want to contact us about crafting a sponsorship package that could include VIP access for you and your guests.
