What started as a small gathering in our apartment eight years ago has grown into a legendary event for our 300 closest friends. Whether you’re in it for the ponies, the prizes, the spectacle of the hat contest, or the swagger of julep drinkers in seersucker suits, we guarantee a good time and mint juleps for all!

In case you missed them, here are photos from 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008.

Schedule of Events

The doors (and bar!) will open at 4:00PM. Arrive in time to enjoy the music from the live band before the 138th Run for the Roses, which is set for 6:15PM. The race will be followed by the pageantry of our parade of hats. The bar turns into a cash bar at 8:00PM, but you should certainly stick around.

What’s new this year?

Get ready for an extra hour of open bar! That’s right, we’ve upped our game and will be serving those juleps you love for a full four hours. We’ve also got some exciting, hat-related things in the works with our new partner Etsy. More details coming soon!

The Venue

Think 1940s wallpaper, reclaimed wood interiors, sunlit atrium, and a giant projection screen... the folks over at Brooklyn Winery couldn’t be nicer, and we are thrilled to be partnering with them again this year!
